Community Discovery Days at Alladale Wilderness Reserve
The European Nature Trust, in partnership with Alladale Wilderness Reserve, invites local community residents for a four hour complimentary tour, including a light lunch. Tours start at 10.30 each Wednesday and Saturday, from June to the end of October. We look forward to sharing with you the progress that has been made over the last two decades.
In 2003 Alladale changed direction and began working on a programme of nature restoration and the creation of a hospitality orientated wilderness reserve. This new approach to land management has led to a healthier and more biodiverse landscape, whilst creating an attraction for a wide range of visitors wishing to relax and connect with nature. Our model of slow, soft, green tourism has appealed to many more guests, leading to a greater level of staff. It’s been a rewarding journey, dedicating time and resources towards landscape conservation and wildlife protection and we now invite you to come and discover Alladale for yourself.

Thank you for a simply brilliant tour of Alladale’s Wilderness Reserve. It’s only yesterday that I got round to post a wee report on my FB page singing your praises and highlighting the tremendous progress the various projects have made over the past decade or so. I was very impressed with your deep understanding of the objective in hand and your excellent skills in making complex concepts so easy to understand.

We thoroughly enjoyed your guided tour of Alladale, and also Paul’s involvement as we met the man responsible for bringing his intent to fruition for most of his plan – time still available for future reintroductions.

Just wanted to email to say a big thank you for yesterday. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and can only admire what you guys are doing to protect the environment for future generations. It opened our eyes more to ideas to getting out and about and discovering more of the area we call home.

Many thanks for our visit to Alladale today. It is a stunningly beautiful place. The whole day was such a delightful and informative experience. We will pass on to our friends and family just how much work Paul and all his staff are doing to improve our country and protect the wildlife and nature for future generations.

Thank you very much for an excellent tour of Alladale Wilderness Reserve yesterday. We had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful scenery and the knowledge we took away from your presentation and vision the reserve has for the future of this stunning part of the Highlands. Not forgetting the much appreciated lunch by the river.
