DIRECTIONS TO THE RESERVE:

WITH SAT-NAV:
For those of you without a physical road map; please type ‘Ardgay’ into your app, once in the village please type in ‘Alladale Wilderness Reserve’, which is a further 30 mins drive away. As your mobile signal (except EE) fades away, your app will still function. On entering the Reserve’s unpaved access road please keep below the 15mph speed limit and drive with the utmost care.

WITHOUT SAT-NAV:
Directions from the North:
Follow the A836 (inland) or the A949 via the A9 (coastal), towards Bonar Bridge and Ardgay.

Directions coming from the South (Inverness):
From Inverness take the A9 north (towards Wick) over the
Kessock Bridge. Before the town of Alness turn left on to the B9176 to Bonar Bridge.

In Ardgay, turn left onto the minor road by the Kyle of Sutherland Fisheries and after about a mile you will cross the River Carron, where you should follow the road to Croick Church. After a further 8 miles turn left at the red telephone box and continue for 1.5 miles until you reach the cattle grid, then drive carefully for another 1.5 miles on the gravel track to the Alladale Lodge.
